Throughout the league we'll be taking a closer look at some of the teams competing in the competition. Today in the spotlight we have the team who are already tipped to take the title of Foulest Stench Caused By a Player- The Pox City Slimeballs!

2460 - The Slimeballs receive a season ban for trying to field 40 players at once.
2464 - The slimeballs take out the biggest loan in NUFFLE history when it becomes apparent that there fans don't own money.
2470 - Slimeball is eaten by the an opposing teams ogre, who dies instantly (and explosively).
2471 - Slimeball hall is built in Pox City in honour of slimeball - rigright next to his favourite giant sewage plant.
2472 - Blorgo Blerg takes over as head coach after escaping from the unmentionable regions of a Great Unclean One.
2490 - The Slimeballs win several awards including: worst dugout, worst cheerleaders and best singing voice.
2501 - Slimeball player Nutrott retires after a record career of 4 matches to become a musical sensation.
2502 - Nutrotts first single "Like Some Fat Out of Hell" goes straight to number one and becomes the Slimeballs theme song.
2502 - Nutrott Tragically passes away after drinking an exotic new cocktail known as Penicillin.
2505 - The slimeballs cause the Mudfield massacre by overfilling a stadium designed for 9 million.
2506 - The slimeballs receive a 2 year ban, a fine of 9 gold and issued a hug of apology to those killed.

ORIGINS
It is a time honoured tradition by the Chaos teams of the Pox City, that one of its millions of nurgling fans is tasked with the great privilege of becoming the ball for upcoming blood bowl matches. These Nurgling balls were disgusting, sticky and tended to bite whoever was holding them. Because of the many diseases and expensive medical bills teams would have after handling one of these "balls", many teams avoided games against Pox City teams altogether. It is this scare tactic that brought the Pox City Atrophied into the Gorebowl final in 2433. Outmanned and Outmatched, the Atrophied faced off against the might of the dwarven Grudge bearers. The Atrophied knew their only chance of winning was to use the most noxious, stomach turning nurgling in there arsenal. A lovable scamp known as Slimeball.
The match was in full swing, and Slimeball slipped out of the grasp of the grudge bearers time and time again. The plan was working. That was until the death roller. One by one the Atrophied were crushed and mangled beneath the treads of the death roller until slimeball was left alone running around for his life until the end of the half. But half time was where it all changed. Slimeball, realising that he was clearly the best player on the pitch, turned to the crowd of nurglings and smiled a rotten grin. He ran across the pitch gathering the helmets and pads of the broken Atrophied before wading into the crowed. The second half was about to start and the Dwarves were already starting their victory celebrations when the Pox City gates opened. A full team of armoured and ready nurglings riding on the back of three foul beasts stomped onto the pitch. Slimeball gibbered orders to his team and met the dwarves with a warped smile. Impossible to catch, the nurglings darted under and over the dwarves, while the hulking beasts crushed slayers and blitzers. The final whistle blew and they had done it! the world's first all nurgling team. The crowed flooded the pitch and so were born the Pox City Slimeballs.
